Jaycon Systems was looking for a housing design for a Bluetooth joystick controller. We provided a design concept that they were able to create a functional prototype.
Initial models and sketches were created to explore different shapes for the product. These models were used to study the ergonomics and determine the size of the device and location of various touchpoints.
After we determined a clear direction, we used CAD modeling to refine the geometry and create the product assembly. These CAD files were used by the client to produce a functional prototype and acquire manufacturing cost estimates.
We used the CAD model to produce photorealistic renderings that helped determine the colors and textures on the product.
